A NOTE FROM OUR TEAM
April Is Here — And So Is the Momentum
April arrives carrying something we feel all the way down to our roots. It’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month — a time to amplify survivor voices, honor courageous work, and recommit to the change our communities deserve. National Crime Victims' Rights Week takes place from April 19-25, 2026, marking its 45th year. Since its founding in 1981, this week has united communities around a shared commitment — honoring survivors, championing their rights, and ensuring no one walks the road to healing alone. It’s also National Volunteer Month and Earth Month — a season that calls us back to what we’re tending, what we’re growing, and who we’re showing up for. And April 1 - 9, many in our community pause to observe Passover and Easter — a moment across traditions that speaks to renewal, resurrection, and the quiet power of beginning again.
All of that energy is woven into everything we’re sharing with you today.
From a Free Legacy Lab Trial that is off to a strong start, to a brand-new app now live in the App Store, to our first M&M’s gathering led by the remarkable Dr. Linda Chambers, to a partner spotlight on FAIR Girls — whose work to end human trafficking is exactly the kind of mission this month calls us to stand behind — April is full.
We’re glad you’re here. Let’s get into it.
FEATURED UPDATE
The Free Legacy Lab Trial Is Underway — And It’s Off to a Strong Start
The Wishful Doing Free Legacy Lab Trial is officially live — and the energy is exactly what we hoped for. Members are showing up with intention, engaging deeply, and already experiencing the kind of clarity and connection that Legacy Lab was built to deliver.
If you’re already inside: this is your moment. Share your experience with a peer. Leave a reflection. Engage with the content. Your voice amplifies everything we’re building — and every interaction makes the Lab stronger for everyone in it.
|
NOT A MEMBER YET? Don’t Miss Your Window Into the Legacy Lab The free trial is a rare, time-sensitive opportunity to experience the full richness of Legacy Lab — the frameworks, the community, the honest conversations — without commitment. This is your invitation to step inside and see what becomes possible when you work with intention. Spots are limited. Time is moving. Don’t wait. |
Legacy Lab was designed for leaders, changemakers, and mission-driven individuals who are ready to build something that lasts. Whether you’re refining your strategy, finding your footing, or looking for a community that truly sees you — this is the space.

COMMUNITY MOMENT
Reflecting on Our First M&M’s Event
|
EVENT RECAP Meet, Mingle & Mapping — Led by Dr. Linda Chambers Our inaugural M&M’s gathering was everything we hoped it would be — and more. Dr. Linda Chambers brought her signature warmth, wisdom, and depth to the room, guiding a conversation that resonated with every single person in attendance. There was laughter. There were breakthroughs. And most importantly — there was real, grounding community. |
The M&M’s series was born from a simple belief: that meaningful growth happens in the presence of others — through mentorship, honest dialogue, and the courage to share our stories. Dr. Chambers embodied that belief beautifully, and we are deeply grateful for her leadership.
If you weren’t able to join us for the first gathering, join us Thursday, April 9 at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT for Group Leadership Coaching - Grounded Decision-Making. Members can register by email--it's waiting in your inbox!
Legacy Lab members, there is so much more to come. We are building something that feeds the whole person — not just the professional.
“Growth happens in community — and community is what we are here to build.”

SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS MONTH · APRIL 2026 Amplifying Voices. Honoring Survivors. Demanding Change. |
PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
FAIR Girls: From Victim to Survivor
This April, as we observe Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we are honored to lift up a partner whose work is nothing short of extraordinary. FAIR Girls has been on the front lines of ending human trafficking and healing survivors since 2003 — and their impact is both profound and deeply personal.
|
2,000+ Girls & young women served since 2003 |
180+ Days of safe shelter per resident |
2003 Year FAIR Girls was founded in D.C. |
WHO THEY ARE
FAIR Girls provides intervention and holistic care to female and female-identifying survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children. Through prevention education and crisis housing, they work to eradicate human trafficking and dismantle the systemic barriers between survivors and their healing. Their mission: every young woman deserves not only to be liberated — but to have the skills, resources, and support she needs to remain free.
THEIR MOST MEANINGFUL WORK
FAIR Girls is the first and only emergency and transitional housing program in Washington, D.C. specifically designed for female-identifying trafficking survivors ages 18–26. Their Residential Housing Program has two pillars:
Andrea Home — crisis and emergency housing with 24/7 trauma-informed care and safety planning from the very first point of contact.
Vida Home — transitional housing where survivors build life skills, pursue education and employment, and move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
Together, these two spaces transform a moment of crisis into a foundation for lasting freedom.
|
WHAT FAIR GIRLS SAID ABOUT OUR PARTNERSHIP “Working with Wishful Doing has been essential in strengthening both our organizational capacity and leadership development. The meaningful partner connections expanded our network and introduced us to aligned leaders who share our values. Being part of their broader community elevated our work and increased visibility for our mission. Wishful Doing has supported us not just in refining our strategy — but in strengthening our leadership voice and organizational foundation for the future.” — FAIR Girls Leadership |
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND WISHFUL DOING?
“If someone is on the fence about working with Wishful Doing, I would say the experience is truly worth the investment. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, your organization takes the time to understand your mission, challenges, and long-term vision. Working with Wishful Doing provides more than just a connection — it provides strength, community, and a sense of shared purpose.”
We are honored to walk alongside FAIR Girls every single day. This Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we encourage you to learn more about their mission, share their story, and consider how you might support survivors in your own community. Learn more at fairgirls.org.

Keep Doing What Matters
April is a reminder that momentum is built in moments — a trial you commit to, a gathering you show up for, an app you download, a story you choose to share. Every one of these things matters. Every one of them adds up.
As Earth Month calls us to tend the ground we stand on, and as this season invites renewal in its many forms — we want you to know that we are here, rooting for you, walking alongside you, and believing deeply in what we are creating together.
With gratitude and momentum,
The Wishful Doing Team
