What the law requires
Under Senate Bill 0420, all public institutions of higher education in Maryland must develop and publicly post a support plan for pregnant and parenting students by October 1, 2026. The law builds on the 2025 Pregnant and Parenting Student Support Act and expands its scope statewide — covering both four-year universities and community colleges.
